For those of you who are not aware of it, Bethany has a thriving Lego robotics program. the Lego Robotics' Club meets once a month after school on the third Thursday, except December, for the kids in grades 4-8 to learn how to build and program Lego Robotics. Each fall we select a team to compete in the Lego League tournament. This year our team is made up of Sammy Goggin, grade 5, Isaac Rider, grade 6, Ian Palmer, Evan Merklin, Sage Stetson, and Austin White, grade 7. After 3 months of hard work and dedication, this team - Team Techno Toast - competed at a regional qualifying tournament last weekend and brough home the Champion Runner's Up trophy, the most prestigious category of trophy. They are also invited to the State Tournament in January in Hillsboro.
